Inspired by the quiet arc of a shared meal—the way unfamiliar faces soften across courses, and the careful politeness of a first introduction gradually gives way to something warmer and altogether less careful—Ganzo traces that journey in pressed steel.

Conventionally, serving ware stays neutral: matching sets, uniform geometry, surfaces that hold the same shape from the first course to the last. But a meal moves. It shifts from the angular formality of introductions to the rounder, looser ease of what Italians call ganzo—that particular state of unguarded delight that settles in when an evening stops performing. Ganzo honours that shift: three forms that progress in sequence from sharp, geometric edges to open, curving shapes, each plate a little further along the journey from courtesy to comfort.

Ganzo is less about the perfectly set table than about the imperfectly wonderful evening: the second glass poured without asking, the conversation that keeps finding reasons not to end, or the quiet realisation that the strangers you sat down with have, somewhere between the first course and the last, become something else entirely.

Materials

Ganzo is made from food-grade stainless steel, chosen for its durability, food safety, and the cool, considered brightness it brings to the table. Each plate is hand-polished to a mirror-like finish that catches and returns the light of any room. The pressing process adds its own quiet character: smooth, graceful variations in the surface that a machined finish would not allow, and that make each piece quietly, visibly its own.

Specifications

Ganzo is available in two sizes, Large and Small, each sold as a single plate. The Large measures 30 cm × 30 cm × 2 cm; the Small measures 17.5 cm × 17.5 cm × 2 cm. The pressed steel gauge is deliberately light, giving each plate a responsive feel that distinguishes it from heavier cast or machined tableware. The four forms progress from angular to curving geometry—01 being the sharpest, 04 the most open—each one a different moment in the arc of the evening.

Edition

This release consists of a small batch of five plates per form, available in both Large and Small sizes. Due to the hand-pressing process, each plate carries subtle variations in surface and form that make every piece distinct. Only a limited number from this first batch remain available.

Care

To preserve the finish and longevity of Ganzo, wash by hand with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Dry immediately after washing to prevent water spots forming on the surface. Avoid abrasive materials or scourers, which may dull or scratch the polish over time.

Delivery

Ganzo is part of our first small-batch release and is available while stock lasts. Each plate is dispatched in a flat pizza-style box, a small nod to the collection's spirit of sharing. Orders are dispatched within standard processing times from our studio. Please refer to our shipping and returns policy for full details.

Each Ganzo plate is individually hand-pressed in London by Elliot Lunn and Plot Generica using their self-built "Ganzissima". The process shapes the steel directly, introducing slight variations in surface and form that distinguish hand-pressing from industrial manufacture. These irregularities are not incidental—they are part of the collection's character, a material echo of the softening that takes place around the table.
